SNAP Health Center meets and exceeds the requirements mandated for HIPPA and FERPA regulations. HIPPA requirements are met
by the audit trail. When data is changed in a Health Record, SNAP automatically keeps a copy of the original data, who made
the changes and when. FERPA requirements are met by the access trail. This log records each time a user accesses a student
Health Record or visit history and keeps track of any changes/edits made. Unlike competitive products, these security features
automatically track behind the scenes; you are not forced to answer multiple questions for each and every change made.
The school nurse has the additional task of ensuring that student health information remains safe. SNAP Health Centers
automatic backup makes a compressed copy of your active database every time you exit the program. These copies are stored
on your hard drive for a minimum of five days, which guarantees that the last good backup is not overwritten with bad data.
